Busted. Nailed. Snagged. As many of you have figured out (maybe our speech was a little too funky fresh???), Peter isn’t a real hip-hop maven and this site was actually developed by Sony. Guess we were trying to be just a little too clever. From this point forward, we will just stick to making cool products, and use this site to give you nothing but the facts on the PSP.
Sony Computer Entertainment America
No admission of guilt, just an admission that they got caught. And no, ‘we’re sorry‘. So I guess it doesn’t really count as an apology. So, was all of this just a ploy to generate buzz under the assumption that there’s no such thing as bad publicity? Did they pull the plug because they got caught or because of the FTC announcement?
I certainly don’t think they got caught because their speech was too ‘funky fresh’. More likely it was because it didn’t ring true. Kids are pretty adept at figuring out who talks the talk but doesn’t walk the walk. They call people like that posers. Which happened to be the first word out of my daughter’s mouth when she saw the video. Followed by, “that’s just sad‘. I agree.
